The Rogers. Aguilas Music Fest. 30-08-2019

Finalizando Agosto, y con un calor digno de los veranos de la Región de Murcia, The Rogers formaron parte del I Aguilas Music Fest. Un festival organizado como concurso de Bandas y con la actuación final de Lady ma Belle, como cabeza de cartel. The Rogers actuaron en último lugar, justo antes del cabeza de cartel.
Las bases del concurso consistían en hacer un repertorio de 20 minutos, y, si te pasabas de ese tiempo quedabas descalificado,, compartiendo el backline existente (The Rogers tuvieron muchos problemas con el sonido de la batería, de la caja, que, al cabo de 3 temas, se pudo subsanar), . Por otro lado, la elección del ganador dependía del público asistente y de un jurado. El público tenía que votar justo al finalizar las actuaciones de los participantes.
Todos los temas que presentaron The Rogers fueron temas propios. Sin duda, fue un gran concierto y un gran festival.

At the end of August, and with a heat worthy of the summers of the Region of Murcia, The Rogers were part of the I Aguilas Music Fest. A festival organized as a Bands contest and with the final performance of Lady ma Belle, as headliner. The Rogers were the last band to play, just before the headliner.
The bases of the contest consisted of making a repertoire of 20 minutes, and, if you went beyond that time, you were disqualified, sharing the existing backline (The Rogers had many problems with the sound of the drums, the snare drum, which, after of 3 songs, could be rectified),. On the other hand, the choice of the winner depended on the audience and a jury. The public had to vote right at the end of the participants' performances.
All the songs presented by The Rogers were their own songs. Without a doubt, it was a great concert and a great festival.

The Rogers. Live at El Fielato Restaurant. Abanilla. 13-07-2019

Tercera vez que The Rogers actúan en El Fielato Restaurante (fantástico lugar para comer y cenar).
Fue un concierto en 2 partes de uns 45 minutos donde The Rogers presentaron gran parte de su repertorio, así como, temas nuevos (siempre guardamos un tema nuevo para este lugar). Además, incluimos algunas versiones de David Bowie (Heroes), Steppenwolf (Born to be wild), Rolling Stones (It's only rock'n'roll), T-Rex (Get it on), The Kinks (Lola) y Chuck Berry (una versión de Johny B Godded: Rogers be good).
Los comensales disfrutaron de la actuación y, en algunos momentos, compartieron micrófono con nosotros.
Agradecer a El Fielato Restaurante que hayan vuelto a contar con nosotros.

Third time that The Rogers perform at El Fielato Restaurant (fantastic place for lunch and dinner).
It was a concert in 2 parts of a 45 minutes where The Rogers presented a large part of their repertoire, as well as, new themes (we always keep a new theme for this place). In addition, we include some versions from David Bowie (Heroes), Steppenwolf (Born to be wild), Rolling Stones (It's only rock'n'roll), T-Rex (Get it on), The Kinks (Lola) and Chuck Berry ( a version of Johny B Godded: Rogers be good).
Diners enjoyed the performance and, at times, shared the microphone with us.

The Rogers. II Levante Connection Fest, Alicante. 14-06-2019

 

The Rogers en el II Levante Connection Fest, organizado por United Sounds Music Management, en la sala Nave Iguana de Alicante.
El festival lo formaron Dr Vulcano, Evolution V, Oscar y la Busband y The Rogers. Buena organización, los responsables de la sala trabajaron duro para ofrecer un buen sonido e iluminación, y las bandas dieron un gran concierto digno de grandes festivales. Pero hubo una pega, una baja asistencia de público.
The Rogers ofrecieron 40 minutos de puro rock & roll, temas nuevos, temas consagrados, y una versión.
El poco público asistente disfrutó del festival. Esperamos que haya una 3ra edición.

The Rogers at the II Levante Connection Fest, organized by United Sounds Music Management, at the Nave Iguana hall in Alicante.
The festival was formed by Dr Vulcano, Evolution V, Oscar and the Busband and The Rogers. Good organization, the people in charge of the hall worked hard to offer good sound and lighting, and the bands gave a great concert worthy of great festivals. But there was a catch, low attendance from the public.
The Rogers offered 40 minutes of pure rock & roll, new songs, established songs, and a cover version.
The little public in attendance enjoyed the festival. We hope there will be a 3rd edition.

The Rogers. Actua Murcia 2019. 18-05-2019.

Segundo mayo consecutivo que The Rogers son invitados a participar en Actúa Murcia organizado por la Cadena SER, en un marco incomparable como los jardines de la Glorieta de España.
Una actuación ante un numeroso público donde The Rogers comenzaron con "Ave rapaz" para sonorización, animando al público desde el principio. El inicio fue con "Rumble" (Link Wray and His Ray Men, 1958), al que le siguió "Bliss man", "Marcelo's song", "Good Man", "Heroes" (David Bowie, 1977) y erminando con "Nada nos puede parar", versión 2019, una versión que va a ser la definitiva y deja este tema engrandecido. El público pidió más, pero ls tiempos estaban muy limitados.
Agradecer a La SER la invitación, y darle la enhorabuena por la organización de este año. Muy buena.

The second consecutive May that The Rogers are invited to participate in Actúa Murcia organized by Cadena SER (Spanish radio), in a beauty setting such as the Glorieta de España gardens.

A performance with a large audience where The Rogers began with "Ave rapaz" for sound, cheering on the audience from the beginning. The beginning was with "Rumble" (Link Wray and His Ray Men, 1958), which was followed by "Bliss man", "Marcelo's song", "Good Man", "Heroes" (David Bowie, 1977) and ending with "Nada nos puede parar", version 2019, a version that is going to be the definitive one and leaves this theme magnified. The public asked for more, but times were very limited.

Thank to La SER for the invitation, and congratulations for a very good organization this year.

The Rogers. IV BluesCazorla Blues Battle. 11-04-2020. (2)

Durante el día, pudimos visitar el pueblo de Cazorla, donde nos trataron muy bien, y donde comimos y bebimos abundantemente.
Por la noche, segunda actuación, esta vez en Rick's Cafe. Nos enteramos de la pérdida de un ser querido, y este concierto se lo dedicamos enteramente a él.
Hicimos el mismo repertorio que el día anterior, que gustó al público presente.
Después de estos 2 días, nos quedamos con ganas de más, y de volver a esta tierra.

During the day, we were able to visit the town of Cazorla, where we were treated very well, and where we ate and drank abundantly.
At night, second performance, this time at Rick's Cafe. We knew about the loss of a loved one, and we dedicate this concert entirely to him.
We made the same repertoire as the previous day, which was liked by the public at the site.
After these 2 days, we were left wanting more, and wanting to return to this land.

The Rogers. IV BluesCazorla Blues Battle. 11-04-2020. (1)

30 bandas competimos durante 2 días en este festival de bandas. Tuvo lugar en Cazorla (Jaén - Andalucía). Un fantástico lugar para visitar y comer.
El primer día, Jueves 11 de Abril, actuamos en "La taberna de Chema" un lugar genial donde además de un gran público, conocimos al dueño del local, Chema, un gran amante de la música y del rock.
30 minutos de actuación con nuestros temas más una versión.

30 bands compete during 2 days in this band festival. It took place in Cazorla (Jaén - Andalusia). A fantastic place to visit and eat.
The first day, Thursday April 11th, we performed at "La taberna de Chema", a great place where, in addition to a large audience, we met the owner of the venue, Chema, a great lover of music and rock.
30 minutes of performance with our songs plus a cover version.

The Rogers at Loco Festival. Totana. 05-04-2020

The Rogers estuvimos dándolo todo en este Loco Festival de Acnur, organizado por el IES Juan de la Cierva y Codorniú. Una iniciativa para concienciar sobre los refugiados, y para recaudar fondos y ayudar a estas personas que tienen que dejar sus países muy a su pesar.
Participamos 5 bandas además de actuaciones de danza moderna y actuaciones cómicas.
The Rogers aportó sus temas más conocidos y algunos temas nuevos, e incluyeron una versión de Heroes de David Bowie.

The Rogers were giving a great concert at this UNHCR's Loco Festival, organized by the IES Juan de la Cierva and Codorniú. An initiative to raise awareness about refugees, and to raise funds and help these people who have to leave their countries although they don't want.
5 bands participated in addition to modern dance performances and comedy performances.
The Rogers contributed their best-known themes and some new themes, and included a cover version of Heroes by David Bowie.

The Rogers. Live concert at Monroe's Rock Bar. Torrevieja. 01/03/2019

Casi por sorpresa, The Rogers fuimos incluidos en la Batalla de Bandas que organiza Monroe's Rock Bar. Nos enfrentamos a Madame Babilonia. 2 estilos de rock muy diferentes. The Rogers tocaron un par de temas del LP de 2018, así como un par de nuevos temas y una versión.
Los jueces dieron esta eliminatoria a los babilónicos, grandes tipos.
Un gustazo volver a esta sala que trata tan bien a los músicos. Un gran ambiente.

The Rogers were included in the Battle of the Bands organized by Monroe's Rock Bar. We faced Madame Babilonia. 2 different rock styles. The Rogers played a couple of tracks from the 2018 LP, as well as a couple of new tracks and a cover.
The judges gave this tie to the Babylonians, great guys.
A pleasure to return to this site that treats musicians so well. A great atmosphere.

The Rogers - Back to band rehearsals

Vuelta a los ensayos. Además de seguir tocando los temas del disco "Las mujeres desnudas van con el pelo suelto", hay nuevos temas que empezamos a ensayar, además de incluir alguna versión de clásicos del rock.
Back to band rehearsals. In addition to continuing to play the songs from the album "Las mujeres desnudas van con el pelo suelto" ("Naked women go with their hair down,") there are new songs that we started to rehearse, in addition to including some version of rock classics.
